The Business
Challenge Context
Mr. Biomed Tech Services is a medical equipment service company headquartered in Garland, Texas. It inspects, calibrates and repairs medical equipment for hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities across Texas and nearby states, and it also sells, rents and disposes of medical equipment. Mr. Biomed Tech Services is a sister company of Vortexian Tech.
The company needed people on two fronts at the same time: technicians for its equipment service work, and an office team for its website, online visibility and customer calls.
Roles Mr. Biomed Needed to Fill
The roles included:
Technicians: technicians to support its medical equipment service work
Software development: software developers and a Python developer
Search engine optimization: an SEO expert and a junior SEO executive
Content: a content writer
Customer support: call support staff to handle customer calls and service requests
Why This Hiring Was Difficult
Medical equipment work leaves little room for error. Technicians had to understand the equipment and work to the safety and documentation standards that healthcare facilities expect. The office roles each needed a different skill set: coding for developers, writing and optimization for SEO and content, and clear spoken communication for call support. Recruiting for such different roles at the same time, without slowing down service for existing customers, needed one partner who could manage the whole process.
Vortexian Strategy
Resolved
Vortexian Tech handled the technician and office hiring as one recruitment project, with a single point of contact for Mr. Biomed from the first role brief to the last onboarding.
How We Ran the Hiring
Role briefs. We agreed the skills, experience level, working hours and responsibilities for each position with the Mr. Biomed team, keeping technician roles and office roles on separate tracks.
Parallel sourcing. We searched for technicians and office staff at the same time, so no role had to wait for another to be filled.
Screening and skills checks. We interviewed applicants and checked their experience and practical skills against each role, so the client only met candidates who were ready for the job.
Client interviews. Mr. Biomed interviewed each shortlist and made every final hiring decision.
Onboarding. We coordinated offers, joining dates and onboarding so each new hire could start work in the client's own tools and processes.
The Result
Mr. Biomed filled its technician, development, SEO, content and call support roles through one hiring partner instead of running separate recruitment drives. Its managers could stay focused on serving healthcare customers while Vortexian Tech handled sourcing, screening and onboarding.
